1. KNIGHT'S CROSS WINNER WEHRSTAMMBUCH - GERL
1. Wehrstammbuch (personnel file). This file was created for Oberleutnant Franz Xaver Gerl.
He served with the 110th Infantry Regiment (part of the 112th Infantry Division) and the 110th
Grenadier Regiment. He was a career soldier and moved from Gefreiter in 1935 to Oberleutnant
in 1944. He was awarded the Long Service Medal, West Wall Medal, Iron Cross I and II, Infantry
Assault Badge in silver, Eastern Front Medal, black Wound Badge and the Knight's Cross of the
Iron Cross on May 8, 1943 as an Oberfeldwebel while serving as platoon commander 112 Infantry
Field Gun Platoon near Orel. 2. Assessment for Officer Candidate School. Created in December,
1943, it recommends him for Fahnenjunkerschule. 3. Appointment to Fahnenjunker.
4. Proposal for acceptance as an Active-duty Officer. 5. Soldbuch Copy. This is a color
photocopy of his entire Soldbuch. 6. Newspaper Articles. These are photocopies of two articles
published in the Regensburger Kurier announcing award of the Knight's Cross. The lot further
includes complete English translations of his Soldbuch, assessment for officer candidate school,
newspaper articles, unit histories and deployments, maps showing where they fought, and unit
reunions. This is a comprehensive history that leaves no stone unturned in describing the

2. KRIEGSMARINE U-BOAT DOCUMENT LOT - PARSZAK
This lot consists of six documents and seven photos. 1. Wehrpass. This was issued in
June 1940 to Johann Parszak as a volunteer for the Navy. He was assigned to U-boat 259
after training as a machinist. It includes his promotions, U-boat assignment and death entry.
U-259 was commanded by Klaus Koepke and made its maiden voyage from Kiel to La Pallice
in August 1942. It made a war patrol on November 5, 1942 and was sunk five days later near
Gibralter by a Hudson aircraft of the 500th British Squadron. The plane was damaged by the
explosions and the aircraft crew bailed out. Two were rescued by the sloops "HMS Eme" and
"HMS Leith," but the other two drowned. The U-boat lost 48 crew members. 2. Kennkarte.
Issued in 1940 with photo. 3. MIA Letter. A letter from Korvettenkapitaen Zapp, chief of the
3rd U-boat Flotilla, to his father informing him that his son was missing. 4. KIA Letter. This
letter from the Wehrmeldeamt in Ortelsburg expresses condolence to his father for the
death of his son and that his Wehrpass is enclosed as a memento. 5. Information Letter.
This letter from the military information office informs his father that his son was killed and
where to obtain a death certificate. 6. Health Insurance Card. This card was issued in 1940
and includes monthly premium stamps. The lot further includes seven reprint photos depicting
3. NSDAP POLITICAL LEADER ID - BRANDT
This ID measures 5.25x4 inches and was issued to political leader Paul Brandt on March 20, 1935.
He was an advisor assigned to the agricultural-political office. The reverse authorizes him to wear
the uniform of a political leader. Excellent condition and difficult to find. I - $250 PICTURES
4. HITLER YOUTH DOCUMENTS - SPICKENBOM
This lot consists of two documents named to Hans Spickenbom. One was issued in 1943 and
certifies that he passed the 45-minute swimming test. The other shows that he attended the
Hitler Youth paramilitary camp from August 28 to September 18, 1943. Both documents were

5. ARMY NEBELWERFER SOLDBUCH LOT - WIECZOREK
This lot consists of two documents issued to Unteroffizier Hermann Wieczorek. 1. Soldbuch.
The Soldbuch was issued in October 1944 without photo and includes a separate certificate
stating so. He served initially with the Luftwaffe and was later transferred to the Army. Units
include FHK Alt-Loennewitz, FHK Vaernes, FHK Forus, 7/Werfer Rgt. 89 and 4(s)/S. Werf. Rgt. 24.
He served in the Volkswerfer Brig. 19 in Hungary, Werfer Brig. 19 in the West and 19 Heerestruppe
in the Ardennes. He was awarded the War Merit Cross II w/swords. The book shows uniform
and weapons issue (98K and pistol), shots, one security check and two leaves. 2. Wehrpass.
The WSehrpass was issued in January 1937 and includes photo. It shows that he completed
his RAD service in 1937 and was assigned to 1./Flg.Ausb.Rgt. 71 Sorau in 1939. An entry on
page 26 shows that he was transferred to the Army in September 1944. Entries indicate that
he fought in the "air war against England" in 1942 and then served in Norway from October 1942
until going to the Army. His promotions and medal award are also recorded. II - $225 PICTURES
6. NSDAP DUES CARD - SCHMIDT
This card was issued to Party member Otto Schmidt in 1935 and records his monthly dues
paid to the NSDAP Relief Fund, which was designed to assist those who were injured or
widowed. HItler mandated dues payment for all members of the NSDAP, SA, SS and NSKK.
7. GERMAN RED CROSS ID - RUEHMKORB
This bi-fold card stock document identifies Willi Ruehmkorb as a supporter of the German
Red Cross and was issued in April 1939. It shows the dues he paid into 1939 and
authorizes him to wear the civil Red Cross pin. I - $45 PICTURES
8. FEMALE HITLER YOUTH DOCUMENT - MAESSING
This is a red, bi-fold, simulated leather holder bearing the inscription "J.M. Ausweis" (Jungmaedel).
Inside are two documents for Irmgard Maessing. One shows that she participated in the
Hitler Youth gathering in Thueringen in January 1944 at the age of 12, and the other is her
HJ Dienstausweis issued when she was age 10. II- $100 PICTURES
9. STAHLHELM ID - AURIN
This bi-fold, oilcloth document identifies Hermann Aurin as a member of the veteran's
organization NS - Deutscher Frontkaempfer Bund (Stahlhelm). It was issued in 1934 and
shows him wearing his Stahlhelm uniform and medals. Mint condition. I - SOLD!! PICTURES
10. S.A. ID - STAHL
This early-style pink, bi-fold cardstock ID was issued to Fritz Stahl on November 16, 1934.
He joined the S.A. on April 1, 1934 as an S.A.-Mann and was assigned to Sturm 1/123 in

11. BUSINESS ASSOCIATION ID - KLUGE
This 35-page hardcover booklet identifies Friedrich Kluge as a member of the Business and Trade
Association and authorizes him to operate his one-man business. It was issued in January 1935
and includes some dues stamps and receipts.This book is similar to the one shown on page 42

12. RAD FEMALE ID
This tri-fold identity document was issued to Selma Keller in 1939. She served as an
Arbeitsmaid for 30 weeks and was discharged on 1-5-39. Very good condition, but with
some ink marks on the cover. Includes her photo in RAD uniform. I- - $50 PICTURES
